Connecting your PrestaShop store to Fexa AI takes 3 steps: about 3 minutes, no key to copy.

1. Download the module from the Connect page in Fexa AI.
2. In PrestaShop: Modules › Module Manager › Upload a module.
3. Click « Connecter à Fexa AI » (Connect to Fexa AI), then « Ouvrir Fexa AI pour finaliser » (Open Fexa AI to finish), and confirm on Fexa AI.

The module's buttons are in French; this guide quotes them exactly as they appear, with a translation in brackets. It details each step, then the fixes for the most common blockers.

Before you start

• A Fexa AI account (free). You can also create it during the connection, at step 3.
• Administrator access to the PrestaShop back office, to install a module. Not the one running PrestaShop? Send this guide to the person who does: they install the module and send you the link from step 3, which you confirm yourself with your own account.
• An online store, reachable over https://. A store installed locally or protected by a password cannot be reached.
• The right edition of the module:

Your PrestaShop version is shown at the top of the back office, next to the logo; your PHP version in Advanced Parameters › Information. PrestaShop 1.6 is not supported.

Install the module

1. In Fexa AI, open the Connect page and download the module. Keep the .zip file as it is, without unzipping it.
2. In the PrestaShop back office, go to Modules › Module Manager, click Upload a module and drop the file.
3. Once the installation is done, click Configure.

Connect

1. In the module configuration, click « Connecter à Fexa AI » (Connect to Fexa AI).
2. Then click « Ouvrir Fexa AI pour finaliser » (Open Fexa AI to finish): a Fexa AI tab opens.
3. Sign in to your account (or create it for free), check the store address shown and confirm.

The security code travels inside the link automatically: there is nothing to retype. The link is valid for 15 minutes and works only once. Once the connection is confirmed, you can close the PrestaShop tab.

You stay in control: Fexa AI only accesses your catalog (products, categories, CMS pages) and publishes nothing without your approval.

Troubleshooting

The store is in maintenance mode

Fexa AI cannot reach a store in maintenance mode. Update the module to version 3.8.1 or later (download it again from the Connect page and upload it: PrestaShop updates it), or turn maintenance off while you connect (Shop Parameters › General › Maintenance).

The store is in a subfolder

For example https://example.com/shop/. Module versions before 3.8.1 lose that subfolder, and Fexa AI then says it cannot find the module. Update the module, then click « Connecter à Fexa AI » again. If the error persists, the manual connection (at the bottom of this page) works with the full address.

Address with or without "www"

https://www.example.com and https://example.com are two different addresses: if one redirects to the other, the check can fail with a message saying the key was refused. Make sure the domain set in PrestaShop (Shop Parameters › Traffic & SEO, "Set shop URL" section) matches exactly the address shown in your browser, then try again.

A code was pasted somewhere by mistake

There is no code to retype any more: it travels inside the link. If you pasted the 6-character code into a field by mistake, nothing needs to be done: it works only once and expires with the link. Just click « Connecter à Fexa AI » again to get a new link. On the other hand, never share the module key (64 characters): if in doubt, contact support.

The link has expired

The finishing link is valid for 15 minutes and works only once. If it has expired, go back to the module configuration and click « Connecter à Fexa AI » again: a new link is created. Close the old Fexa AI tab, which no longer matches.

PHP 7 error with the standard module

The standard module requires PHP 8.1 or later. Under PHP 7, PrestaShop may show an error right after the upload ("Parse error", blank page, module manager unavailable). In that case, delete the modules/fexa_ai_connector folder from your hosting (over FTP or with your host's file manager), then install the compatible edition.

Connect with the module key

Useful if your module has no « Connecter à Fexa AI » button (version older than 3.7). In the module configuration, expand « Connexion manuelle (avancé) » (Manual connection, advanced) and copy the key. On the Connect page, click “Connect with the module key”, enter the exact store address (including any subfolder) and paste the key. This key gives access to your catalog: never share it anywhere else.
