Poisoned UGC can mislead some deep-research agents

Research reported by Search Engine Land tested a malicious thirteen-word change in user-generated content. In the experiment, one poisoned page influenced 38 to 51 percent of certain reports produced by deep-research agents; using several poisoned pages increased the result to 62 percent.
These figures describe an experimental setup. They do not prove a Google Search ranking vulnerability and do not mean that every AI system responds in the same way.

In PrestaShop, reviews, questions and comments should be clearly separated from official product specifications. Protect moderation accounts, restrict editing rights, keep change history and review unusual modifications.
Structured data can identify the author and content type, but it cannot neutralize malicious injection. The main defenses are access control, moderation, traceability and the ability to restore a clean version quickly.
