Four preview capabilities
Microsoft is expanding the AI Performance report in Bing Webmaster Tools with Intents, Topics, Citation Share and Compare. Intents classifies grounding queries by context, while Topics groups related queries into broader themes. Compare overlays two periods to show how citations change.
Citation Share is the percentage of citations attributed to a site for a specific grounding query. Microsoft explicitly describes it as an observational metric: it is not traffic share, a ranking or a quality score. All four capabilities are rolling out globally in preview and may still evolve.
How to use the data
A PrestaShop merchant can identify themes where content is cited, then review whether the corresponding pages answer the observed commercial or informational intent clearly.
A change does not prove that a page edit caused it. Models, demand, freshness and competing sources can also change citation patterns. Compare several periods and interpret the report alongside actual traffic and sales.
