PrestaShop 9.2.0-beta.1: One-Page Checkout and Redesigned Shipping
Original SourcePrestaShop 9.2.0-beta.1 introduces a notable experiment: a one-page checkout tunnel, activated via a feature flag. This feature, still experimental, aims to simplify the customer journey and could reduce cart abandonment, pending thorough testing by merchants. At the same time, shipping management has been overhauled into a service with support for multiple shipments. Merchants can now manage multiple carriers per order, edit products within an existing order, and generate separate delivery slips. This is another step towards flexible logistics. The back office also gains management of additional property definitions and a dedicated translation scanner, simplifying the administration of complex product data. A B2B mode has been added, with dedicated settings to switch between B2C and B2B. Notable fixes improve stability, especially for reserved quantities in a multistore context and securing table names. This beta lays the foundation for a major update, worth monitoring for its potential impact on performance and user experience.
