Connecting Google Search Console to Fexa AI

Unlock the power of real data. Connect your GSC to identify keyword opportunities, CTR and quick wins.

Reading time : 5 min

Connecting your store is good. But connecting your Google Search Console (GSC) is taking it to the next level.

Why? It's simple:

  • The crawl scan analyzed the theory (is your page well made?).
  • The Search Console gives you the reality (what are you actually ranking for? how many people click?).

By connecting GSC, Fexa AI crosses these two worlds to tell you: "Hey, this product is on page 2 for a highly searched keyword. Optimize it a little and move to page 1!"

This is what we call Striking Distance.

Prerequisites

  • Have a Google account with access to the GSC property of your store.
  • That your property is properly validated in GSC (Domain property or URL prefix).

Step 1: Access integration settings

Go to Settings > Google Search Console.

GSC connection button (Look at the "Google Search Console" card at the bottom right)

Step 2: Launch the connection

  1. Click on the green "Connect Google Account" button.
  2. A Google window will open. Select the Google account that manages your Search Console.
  3. Important: Accept the permissions. Fexa AI needs to read your performance to find opportunities. We do not modify anything on your GSC.

Step 3: Select the property

Once connected, Fexa AI will list all the properties (sites) associated with your Google account.

Select the one that corresponds to the connected store.

Note: Make sure the URL matches exactly (http vs https, www vs non-www) if you are using a "URL Prefix" type property.

New features unlocked 🔓

Once connected, the magic happens. Go back to your Dashboard.

1. Performance graph

On the dashboard, the "Search Console Performance" section is no longer blurred. You see your Clicks and Impressions for the last 30 days directly.

2. The "Opportunities" section

This is the biggest gain. Go to the Opportunities menu.

Opportunities table

You now have access to:

  • Striking Distance: Keywords in position 11-20 (page 2) that are easy to move up.
  • Cannibalization: Pages that are fighting each other on the same keyword.
  • Low CTR: Pages that are well ranked but no one clicks (title or description to be reviewed urgently!).

Next step: Treasure hunting

Your GSC is connected. You now have a treasure map with crosses marked on it. In the next tutorial, I will teach you how to read this map and dig up easy traffic gains.
